Collecting Quartz
Collecting quartz is the cheapest way to collect rocks and minerals. Quartz is the most common minerals and can be found almost everywhere in the world. Pure quartz is colorless or white. When it has colors, it will come in: citrine, amethyst, smoky, white and rose.
The larger the quartz, the more imperfection it has. The 2-3 inches specimen are the closer to perfection.
Some will be collecting quartz all their life by searching for the rare specimen while others will look at other rocks an minerals.
